The car rental security deposit between AED 1000 - AED 10,000 is taken at the start of rental. It is released max 30 days after the car is returned. Security block by credit card pre-authorization is better as it is automatically released by the bank on the same credit card within 30 days.

What is mileage limit? What happens if I exceed it?

All rental cars come with standard mileage limit based on your rental period. However, some companies offer unlimited mileage as well. Custom mileage limit packages for an additional charge may be available. To calculate your mileage, the car rental agreement mentions the km on the car’s odometer at the start of your rental. If you exceed the allowed kms, additional charges apply. For this car, USD 0.55 / km is chargeable above the included mileage limit.

What is the minimum age limit to hire a car in the UAE?

The legal age to rent a vehicle (car, van, pick-up truck, SUV or any other) in the UAE is 21 years as per RTA regulations. The 1.6S and 1.8S gets power steering, power mirrors, power windows, halogen headlamps, rear LED lamps, keyless entry, manual seats, AM/FM radio with CD/MP3/AUX/RDS support and 2 speakers and 15-inch steel wheels. The 1.6SV gets LED accent headlamps, intelligent key with engine push-start button, wood trim and 4 speakers. The 1.6 SV Sports gets fog lamps, leather steering, rear spoiler, 16-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors and indicators on side-view mirror. Both 1.6 SV and 1.8 SV sports have the option of USB/iPod connectivity, bluetooth, navigation, 5.8-inch display, rear view camera and 2 DIN face audio system with CD player.
